Jon Sultan Writing Award
The Jon Sultan Writing Award was established by Jon's parents in loving memory of their son who was an integral part of the first Integrative Studies cohort in 1995. Among his many wonderful qualities, Jon was a gifted writer who was planning a career in teaching writing. This award is presented annually to recognize achievement and encourage the development of outstanding writing talent among School of Integrative Studies students.
Students are nominated by faculty based on their writing. The School of Integrative Studies is grateful to Jon Sultan's parents who established this generous award.

Phi Beta Kappa
The Phi Beta Kappa Society is the nation's oldest academic honor society, dating back over two centuries. Phi Beta Kappa was founded by five students at the College of William and Mary in 1776 on the principles of freedom of inquiry and liberty of thought and expression. Mason was awarded a chapter in August 2012 and joined the ranks of only 10% of American colleges with Phi Beta Kappa chapters. New Century College would like to recognize our students who have received an invitation to join this prestigious honor society.
