(Spring 2014)

10:30 AM to 01:10 PM F

Section Information for Spring 2014

The complexity of today's social issues requires leaders who create inclusive environments for a shared vision and who can collaborate across differences in order to take collective action. Students will explore the interdisciplinary scholarship in leadership studies with respect to small group dynamics and organizational development. Students will learn to analyze the dynamics of the groups they are a part of in order to enhance their own effectiveness in the group and the group's effectiveness toward its goals for positive change. Through a community-based group service project and the development of reflective practice, students will gain a deeper understanding of leadership theories and their own development as leaders.
