Section Information for Fall 2013
This is an outdoor, hands on course involving two weekend trips early in the semester (Friday afternoon to Sunday) where students learn first hand about the natural and cultural history of the region by collecting fossils, examining estuaries on boats and meeting with watermen who make their living on the Bay. Students investigate first hand issues of their own interest and do brief case study presentations at the end of the course. Some weekday meetings will be used to prepare for the field trips and for presentations. This course provides three credits of Experiential Learning in New Century College. An additional course fee will be necessary to cover field trip costs (not to exceed $250).View 4 Other Sections of this Course in this Semester »
