Section Information for Summer 2015
This course will enable students to receive an introduction to native habitats in Virginia and gain an understanding of ecosystems represented at Environmental Studies. You will also learn how to comprehensively record important information about specific habitats through mapping and Geographic Information System (GIS) skill development. Ultimately you will learn through an applied project how to plan, build and create a record of new or restored habitats for native wildlife and plants. This is a completely applied course, and you will spend extensive time in the field while you reside at the field station for two weeks.
