In this course, we will examine and rehearse essential behaviors and skills for success in the professional workplace.  We will discuss skills common to different workplaces such as the technology and service sectors, education, and entrepreneurial and other environments.  We will study principles of behavior, delivering and receiving effective feedback, and reflective listening.  We will develop skills for analytical problem solving, data analysis and managing multiple priorities. We will discuss workplace ethics and integrity.  As practical and appropriate, we will accommodate the current interests of those actively job hunting, and those currently in professional positions.

Develops a variety of work-readiness skills needed to transition to local and global marketplaces. Topics and skills covered include developing a tailored cover letter or goal statement, problem solving in the business setting, workplace ethics and etiquette, interviewing skills, professional networking, and salary negotiations. Limited to three attempts.
