This course explores the functional and philosophical principles of the mind/body relationships. It is based in scientific findings regarding the connection of attitudes and emotions that directly affect physical heath and well-being. We will examine ancient and modern interventions that can improve health, increase longevity, and enhance mental balance and inner peace. In addition to the academic study of these resources, the course will provide a framework for students to conduct personal application in-class of mind/body practices such as yoga, breath control, and meditation.
