This course explores key aspects of self-care that are important in creating vibrant well-being in personal, community, and organizational contexts. As a dynamic learning community we will explore the primary foundations, cultural significance, emerging science and neurobiology, the psychosocial and evidence-based impact of self-care as it relates to well-being. Participants will develop tools for and proficiencies in: values-based self-care, designing personal well-being strategies, and cultivating self-care practices and networks of support that enhance well-being. Each session integrates best-practice models in mindfulness, neurobiology, psychosocial awareness, and positive psychology with experiential practices of self-care.
