Section Information for Spring 2015
We now live our lives around, within, through, behind, and among social media of all kinds. Twitter, Facebook, Netflix, Instagram, and the like, provide a "total environment" wherein our lives play out. This class asks what philosophy might bring to bear upon this new situation: are we more free? Does it comprise the good life? Is this the direction we want to go? Does it promote social well being, equality, and justice?
