Cost
$400 which includes all supplies, activities, snacks, camp T-shirts, a day off campus and a party for campers and families at the end of the week.
Director
This camp is directed by Erin E. Peters, Ph.D. N.B.C.T, who is a member of the College of Education and Human Development at George Mason University. She has created and implemented many K-12 programs in formal and informal settings to engage students in the ways scientists explore their world. Dr. Peters has 15 years of experience as a science teacher and has won several national teaching awards.
Overview
Get Your Hands Dirty Environmental Camp is a weeklong enrichment day camp located on the Fairfax Campus of George Mason University. Students will gain an appreciation and understanding of our natural world. the camp will accomplish this mission through hands-on environmental education progrms, interactive lessons, and dynamic outdoor activities.
New Century College faculty offer a fun, innovative, and creative curriculum with students serving as mentors to campers.
