New Century College's Partnership with Enstitute

Now Enrolling Enstitute Apprentices: Earn Academic Credit, Job Skills and a Salary

Are you ready to apply your skills in the work world? Do you want to begin developing your own network in a field that is meaningful to you? Enstitute may be right for you.

In Spring 2015, Mason will launch its first Enstitute year-long, two-semester cohort. Enstitute is an innovative new apprenticeship---an opportunity to test your mettle on the job, while earning a salary and up to 24 hours of academic credit. Enstitute’s goal is to help Mason students sharpen their talents and training as they enter the workforce. Participants will be selected from a competitive pool of second-and third-year undergraduates who want to secure a year-long, full-time position with a metro-DC business or nonprofit. Apprenticeships will be available in conservation, policy, sustainability, design, technology, new-media and social enterprise.

How do I apply?

  • Meet with your advisor to determine if Enstitute fits your academic profile
  • Apply—and be ready to explain why you will be an asset to an employer
  • Meet with Enstitute to identify interests for job placement
  • Interview with apprenticeship host organizations
  • Finalize apprenticeship placement
  • Drop any other scheduled courses for Spring 2015
  • Add NCLC 495 and 498 (12 academic credits)
