Experiential Learning Financial Award

New Century College is committed to providing educational experiences which will prepare its graduates for the workplace and the demands of active and responsible citizenship. Experiential learning is an umbrella term for many different practices including internships, co-ops, service learning, and field-based experiences, all which offer students an opportunity to put knowledge into practice, while learning from the community, organization or environment. One $1000.00 Experiential Learning financial award is available for an NCC Student. The award may be applied to a project in the Spring, Summer or Fall semester of the 2008 calendar year. The award may be used to defray costs associated with an experiential learning project, including transportation, fees, materials or other expenses.

Applications are due via email to Karen Misencik (kmisenci@gmu.edu) on December 17th, 2007.
