Graduation Ceremony
George Mason University confers degrees three times a year: January,
May and August. Students "graduate" the semester in which they finish
all their requirements.
The University holds only one set of commencement ceremonies each year,
in May. For example, all students who graduate in January 2007, May
2007 and August 2007 walk at the May 2007 graduation. Note: You may
walk in graduation once and your name may only appear once in the graduation
program.
NCC students may participate in the GMU, LAHS and NCC graduation ceremonies.
Families and friends need tickets only for the GMU commencement. For
more information, consult the GMU Events
Management web page.
The GMU Catalog provides more information about graduation requirements
and policies.
